How to Dig Up Buyer
Leads?
Real estate agents
are forever on the lookout for some one that might be interested in
buying property. To get the most leads an agent should be on the
lookout for both buyers and sellers. If the agent does not have
listings that match what a buyer is looking for she can show the
customer other properties listed by other agents.
Some additional ideas for getting Buyer Leads
Host an open house in one of your listings or another agents
listings. Capable buyers or potential buyer's friends often stop by
the open houses. Even if a deal cannot be signed with a buyer on
that particular property, collect as much information as possible
from all potential buyers. If you do volunteer to have an open house
for a fellow agent you should request the right to keep any leads
regarding buyers in exchange for the time you put in sitting the
open house.
You can always send out farming literature; your brand new listings
are a good source of leads for this purpose. Neighbors often have
friends or family interested in buying in their neighborhood. Often
Title companies provide free mailing addresses for specific
neighborhoods to licensed agents.
If marketing flyers are permissible then join the local chamber of
commerce and leave them at meetings or other gatherings. Buyers
looking to purchase real estate often obtain information from the
local chamber of commerce.
Keep in touch with your past clients at least once a month by
sending them some type of mail, email or phone call. It could also
take the form of a short note, a calendar or a newsletter. If you
regularly (subtly) remind satisfied clients of your presence, they
will reward you with buyer leads. You can think about the
possibility of writing a special real estate blog and you can send
your customers information about the area, either via email or
regular mail. Getting a buyer lead can be as simple as someone
asking for information.
